Unleashing the Future: Oppo Find N5 Folding Phone Review Beats Galaxy Z Fold 6

The Oppo Find N5: The World’s Thinnest Book-Style Folding Phone is Coming February 20

As a long-time fan of the OnePlus Open (or, as it’s marketed in China, the Oppo Find N3), I’m excited to get my hands on the latest version: the Oppo Find N5, the world’s thinnest book-style folding phone. At an exclusive Oppo event, I had the chance to go hands-on with the device, and I must say, it’s left me impressed.

One of the most striking features of the Find N5 is its slim design. When folded, it feels like a normal slab phone, and I’m blown away by just how thin it is. I can already envision this device joining our list of the best Oppo phones (and, if availability allows, the best foldable phones).

But for now, let’s focus on the details. Besides its stunning design, the Find N5 boasts some impressive specs. While I can’t reveal too much just yet, I can give you a sneak peek at the phone’s two color options: black and white. The white version features a reflective pattern reminiscent of the Oppo Find X8 Pro’s pearlescent white colorway.

As you’d expect, the usual Oppo fare – volume rocker, power button, and ringer switch – can be found on the right side of the device. When the phone is folded, these buttons naturally shift to the right-hand side.

Is this the OnePlus Open 2 in all but name?

As many have speculated, the rumored OnePlus Open 2 might inherit the design of the Oppo Find N5. The original OnePlus Open, after all, is essentially a rebranded Oppo Find N3. Oppo and OnePlus, both subsidiaries of Chinese company BBK Electronics, have a long history of sharing common designs and technologies.

I’ve written extensively about my experience with the original OnePlus Open, and as the likely spiritual successor to that phone, the Oppo Find N5 has made a great first impression.

The Find N5 launches globally on February 20, although it’s unlikely to reach US markets, which is standard for Oppo phones. This does suggest, however, that the OnePlus Open 2 isn’t far off for US consumers.

So, what do you think of the Oppo Find N5? Would you prefer an Oppo foldable over the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
