Affordable Luxury: Stunning Field Watch for the Modern Gentleman

CW’s Stunning C65 Dune Aeolian: A Wave of Style for Watch Lovers

Christopher Ward’s Shoreline series was a massive hit, and now the brand is bringing its signature dial pattern to the masses with six new references and two GMTs without textured dials. The C65 Dune Aeolian is the latest addition to the catalog, replacing the outgoing C65 Dune.

The rippling dial is inspired by the windswept sand dunes of France.

The entry-level C65 Dune Automatic is the most affordable option, featuring a 38mm stainless steel case, a vintage-inspired boxed sapphire crystal, and 150m of water resistance – similar to its predecessor, the original Dune field watch.

Powering this new series is the reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, now without a date function for a cleaner dial design. You can still gaze at the movement through a sapphire caseback, as before.

The dial is where you’ll find the most significant changes, with a stunning rippled sand pattern and the absence of a date window. Additionally, the lollipop seconds hand is now simplified, and the Trident counterweight has been discontinued – a change that might be considered bold or brave, depending on your perspective.

New colors and lume treatments are also worth noting, making the C65 Dune Aeolian a style-conscious choice for watch enthusiasts.
