Amazon’s Secret Level Series: Concord to Persist Despite Recent Studio Shutdown

So, you might be wondering what’s up with Concord, the PS5v5 shooter that got shut down just recently. Well, it looks like it’s not just the game that’s gone dark – its planned episode in Amazon’s upcoming animated series Secret Level is still a go. Yeah, you read that right!

For those who might be new to the party, Secret Level is a 15-episode anthology series that’ll feature original stories set in the world of games. It’s been in the works for a while, and it’s got a pretty impressive lineup of games represented, including Armored Core, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, and more. One of those games is, of course, Concord.

Now, you might be thinking, “Wait a minute, Concord got pulled from sale just two weeks after launch, and it’s essentially dead. Are they really going to still include its episode in Secret Level?” Well, according to a new report from IGN, citing a “source close to production,” the answer is yes – Concord will remain a part of Secret Level, despite its recent cancellation.

That’s not entirely surprising, given the investment Amazon’s likely made in the episode, but it’s still a weird feeling knowing that the game’s basically defunct. Still, I guess it’s a chance for fans to say goodbye to Concord in a different way.

Secret Level is set to debut on Prime Video on December 10th, so if you’re feeling nostalgic for the game, you can mark your calendars and pour one out for Concord as its episode airs.
