Quick Share App for Windows Got a Fresh Update, Bringing New Features and Fixes

Google has rolled out a new update for the Quick Share app on Windows, bringing some much-needed improvements and bug fixes. The update, which is now available to users, introduces a handful of changes designed to make it easier to use and more useful.

Change Your Quick Share Visibility Settings from the Windows System Tray

One of the most notable updates is the ability to change Quick Share visibility settings right from the Windows system tray. By right-clicking on the Quick Share icon, you can now switch between "No one," "Your devices," "Contacts," and "Everyone" sharing modes, eliminating the need to fully open the app to make that change.

Other Updates: New Animations and Bug Fixes

Other updates include new animations within the app, including on the "ready to receive" page, as well as various bug fixes, such as when sharing URLs. These improvements should make it easier to use the app and reduce any frustration caused by the occasional glitches.

What’s Next for Quick Share on Windows?

This is the first update to the Quick Share app for Windows since its release, which also made it available to ARM-powered Windows PCs, such as Snapdragon-powered CoPilot+ PCs. While there’s no way to force an update through the Quick Share app, you can re-install the app to get the latest version.
