As I wander through the world of life sims and cozy games, I often find myself drawn to the discussions on subreddits, where gamers share their favorite titles. And one game has been consistently topping the recommendations: Travellers Rest. Yes, Stardew Valley is a classic, but these conversations usually start with those who’ve already discovered that gem, seeking a similar experience. That’s where Travellers Rest comes in – a game that’s been quietly winning hearts with its unique blend of hospitality, farming, and adventure.

Running Your Own Cozy Inn

In Travellers Rest, you inherit a neglected old tavern and set out to transform it into a warm and welcoming inn. As you work, you’ll cook meals, brew drinks, and serve customers, using the gold you earn to expand your business. You can design and decorate new rooms, hire friendly staff, and employ bouncers to keep the peace. And, of course, experiment with new dishes and drinks to keep your visitors happy and coming back for more.

A Growing Game with Constant Updates

Travellers Rest launched into early access on Steam in 2020, and since then, it’s consistently received new features and updates. You’ll find beekeeping, farm animals, fishing, and regular patches and fixes. In 2023, local co-op was added, and now online multiplayer is available, allowing you to run your inn with up to three friends.
