OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro: SpecListed on TENAA Before Launch

The wait is almost over for the highly anticipated OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, with a launch date scheduled for December 26. In the meantime, the devices have been spotted on TENAA, revealing key specs that are set to differentiate these two powerful phones.

Design and Display

The first thing you’ll notice is that both phones share the same dimensions of 161.7 x 75.8 mm, with a thickness of approximately 8.1 mm. The screen size remains the same at 6.78 inches, with a 1264p resolution, and features a fingerprint scanner integrated under the display.

Processors and Storage

What’s most noticeable is that the processor is where we see the biggest discrepancy between the two. The Ace 5 Pro boasts a 4.32 GHz CPU, confirming the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the regular Ace 5 settles for a 3.3 GHz CPU, hinting at the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. When it comes to storage, the Ace 5 will be available with 12 GB or 16 GB RAM options, paired with 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB storage capacities. The Ace 5 Pro, on the other hand, will feature 8 GB RAM options with 128 GB storage choices.

Batteries and Cameras

The battery size remains the other major difference between the two phones, with the Ace 5 Pro sporting a larger 6,100 mAh battery with 100W wired charging, while the vanilla Ace 5 comes with a 6,400 mAh battery and 80W charging capabilities. The cameras are also more or less identical, with a 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP triple camera setup on the back and a 16 MP selfie snapper on the front.

Comparison and Verdict

Based on these specs, it’s clear that the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro might just be one of the most affordable options on the market with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. However, we suspect that it’s the vanilla Ace 5 that will be making its way to global markets as the OnePlus 13R.
