It’s been just a week since Samsung announced its latest flagship series, the Galaxy S25, and the response from India has been overwhelming. Pre-orders for the series have reached an astonishing 20% higher mark compared to last year’s numbers. This surge in demand is a testament to the popularity of Samsung’s latest offerings.
According to Samsung India, over 430,000 units of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra have been pre-booked, with no word yet on the individual model-wise split. It’s likely that the S25 Ultra will dominate the charts, given its impressive specifications and features.
To put this achievement into perspective, last year’s pre-orders in India totalled 250,000 units, with a significant spike in orders after the initial rush. This year, however, has seen a 20% increase in pre-orders, indicating a strong demand for the new series.
Local Manufacturing and Availability
One major factor behind the success of the Galaxy S25 series is Samsung’s commitment to catering to the local market. The phones are manufactured locally at the Noida factory, and the company has also expanded its network of stores to reach smaller cities. Moreover, the addition of Hindi support for the Gemini Live feature has undoubtedly made the series more accessible to a wider audience.
"In the Galaxy S25 series, we’ve set a new standard for AI companionship with natural and context-aware mobile experiences," notes Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, MX Division, Samsung India. "Young, tech-savvy consumers, who are at the forefront of Galaxy AI usage, have driven the demand for our latest flagship series. We’ve widened our distribution network to 17,000 outlets, enabling us to tap into demand in smaller cities."
